Hi my name is Calipso, I'm a 18 yr old Red Lored Amazon. I came to live here on Sept 28^th, 2002, my hatchday is Sept 25^th,1990. Mom was walking around a bird fair just looking at everything when her foot bumped something under a table. She bent down and laid her eyes on me. She quickly went and got Dad and told him she wasn't leaving with out me. She could tell I really needed someone to take me home. When I first came home I had a bad infection internally, but worse yet I had over 40 broken bones in my body all in various stages of being healed. The worst one was in my right wing, they tried to wrap it different ways to keep it set in place and my Aunt Nancy from Macaw Talk even made me a special suit to wear, but nothing helped it. Then the Vet said it was time for surgery to pin it,but when she opened it up it was way to bad to fix,so it had to be amputated. Most of the time I don't miss it, but sometimes I forget and fall, then Mom justs calls me her little thud muffin. I can tell you one thing it doesn't keep that handsome dude Cj from making eyes at me.

Hi I'm Cj, I'm a Double Yellow Headed Amazon. I'm 39 years old,my hatch day is December 31^st,1970. I was a wild caught import that spent most of my life as a breeder. About a year before I came here to live my mate died and I just wasn't interested in another. My owner was a friend of Mom's and he asked her if I could come here and retire, because he knew she would say yes. I think Calipso is real pretty and like to hag out with her when ever Mom will let us.
